    Trading Pina Coladas for Jack-n-Cokes

Five months into our new marriage, the world was sent home in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. The uncertainty terrified me. The news was always on, magnifying the fear, and I was one of those people who wore gloves and disinfected the groceries after our trips to the store. Brady was never shaken like I was, and while at first I thought he was crazy, after a few months of lockdowns and mandatory mask wearing outdoors and the closure of beaches and parks, my fear slowly started to wear off into curiosity.

    The Blue Moon Cocktail

This cocktail tastes like a refreshing blue Creamsicle, and its color is as blue as the pool you’ll be wanting to dive into after sipping one! Grab your friends and a blender (am I writing the lyrics to a new Jimmy Buffett song??) and give the Blue Moon a shot yourself!

    Mr. Siedler’s Blueberry Pie

A simple, all-American dessert for an all-American holiday. My Grandma got this blueberry pie recipe from a friend from church many years ago, and has been making it ever since. I am not much of a cook/baker – but the beauty of this pie is that it is relatively simple, and AMAZINGLY delicious. Trust me, if I can make it, so can you!

It’s a great experience to be so close to your favorite team and players in a much more intimate setting, and Phoenix…

A San Diegan’s Perspective on Ice Fishing

This article was first published in 2014 on my previous blog, SipSavorSeeSD. As a native San Diegan who isn’t familiar with cold weather activities, I felt compelled to share this unique outdoor winter activity with you all so that you might want to try it too! Back in October, my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go with him to his hometown of Hutchinson, MN to meet his family for Christmas. I said definitely, and we started planning and preparing for our week long trip to “Minnesota’s Hometown” of Hutchinson. When I asked Brady what we could do there, one of his first suggestions was to go ice fishing. (What…
